Powder Coating

 Powder  Coating

Powder coating is by far the youngest of the surface finishing techniques in common use today.
Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than other finishes. Colour selection is virtually unlimited with variations in gloss levels, ripples, textures, metallic’s, and clear finishes available. High quality and advanced resin technology means colours stay bright and vibrant longer.
The process is environmentally friendly as there are no solvents or VOCs (volatile organic compounds)
The process involves spraying finely ground, electro statically charged particles of pigment and resin onto the surface where after it is then oven heated, fused and cured giving a smooth even film finish.
In New Zealand there are 3 major International manufacturers and suppliers of powder coating product for applicators to source a wide range of surface finishes.
